It is from July last year. There seems to be no more update after that in this Science daily article.

It works on people with e specific birth gene defect named OTOH. So likely not helping with tinnitus.

From what I've seen recently tinnitus research is moving into completely different direction as it seems related to sleep.

It looks like a very specific fix for a genetic variant, not generic solution.

PS: Don't get most pregnant women get the vaccine? Here in Argentina it's mandatory like 2 doses, like at 1 year old and 5 years old, usually one extra dose when there is a (normal) measles outbreak, and another when a woman get pregnant (perhaps at 2 or 3 months).
